The Work
On March 7, 2022 a 42 year run of nearly unparalleled basketball dominance came to an end in Durham, North Carolina. Iconic men’s basketball coach Mike “Coach K” Krzyzewski roamed the sidelines for one final time on his home court of Cameron Indoor Arena, facing off against bitter program rival the North Carolina Tar Heels.
To spark fan interest and drive new revenue, Narrative worked with Duke Basketball and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to design and market the University’s debut digital collectibles program, featuring commemorative game tickets, VIP fan experiences, and the first-ever Duke national championship ring replicas.
Powered by Web3 technology platform OneOf, the collectibles sold out immediately and the project is the most successful college sports Web3 project of all time. Press mentions in Sports Illustrated and ESPN highlighted coverage.
