The Work

Founded in 2018 by Narrative principal Christopher Sealey and active fund managers Andrew Hoppin, Paola Origel and Mark Wagner, Hyla Funds (formerly Chainlink Capital) is a highly diversified hedge fund-of-funds that provides exposure to crypto and early-stage companies in the blockchain space while mitigating the risks that are abundant in the asset class. The fund’s “liquid venture” strategy combines the upside of venture capital investing with the flexibility of a liquid portfolio – a must for the fast-moving sector.

Hyla’s flagship Luna Fund is the second-oldest in the crypto fund-of-funds world and has outperformed Bitcoin, Ethereum, the CCi30 cryptocurrency market index, and the S&P 500. Over the past three years, the fund has won numerous industry performance awards, including HedgeWeek’s US Digital Assets award for “Best Sustained Absolute Performance” by any crypto fund and the Crypto Fund Research award for #1 performing crypto fund of funds for all of 2021.

Narrative raised a significant portion of the AUM for Hyla, invested in the funds, and recently led the rebrand effort. Hyla is backed by large family and multifamily offices across the globe.
