LOUD RECORDS

Genre-defining music, pioneering street marketing, and the first-ever youth culture online advertising network.

The Work

Narrative provided creative direction, brand development, and integrated marketing support for iconic hip-hop music label Loud Records (Sony Music) and the Steven Rifkind Company (SRC) - Loud’s sister agency that invented the "street team.”

Narrative later helped found AKA.com – an advertising network of more than 1,500 youth culture websites that drew nearly 10,000,000 visitors per month and was acquired. Narrative principal Christopher Sealey became head of network programming, overseeing all content, creative, brand partnerships, and special projects, including the first-ever streamed albums for Platinum-selling recording artists Jay-Z and Nas, and an online record deal contest which drew submissions from future music stars including Eminem.

Narrative’s work for SRC included digital marketing campaigns and creative development for The Wu-Tang Clan, PepsiCo, Outkast, General Motors, and more.
